Avenue Q and green tea

Sun Jun 22, 2008, 10:02 PM
  • Mood: Neutral
So this weekend I took a road trip to see Avenue Q. It was fantastic! There was everything; hilarious songs, dumb jokes, witty dialogue, and a sex scene. Including little furry [puppet] boobs. I was glad I brought my binoculars.

But seriously, it was worth the price of the tickets.

While I was in Seattle, I also visited the Space Needle, at which I couldn't not pull off the "youth" ticket (under 14) and had to pay twice the amount of money that the youth price was.
I was really happy to be in Seattle because I've just recently gotten into the sitcom "Frasier", which takes place in Seattle. It made the Space Needle more interesting, because I could pretend I was searching for Frasier's building.

I also purchased some original Rider-Waite tarot cards. It's a lot of fun to make up interpretations, but it's hard to have to look up the meaning of each card all the time.

So suddenly I had this thought today; all these people are making green tea drinks and green tea teabags, and I was just thinking if it wasn't just a little bit pretentious. So I consulted my rock of knowledge: my dad.
"Dad, do you think green tea is a little bit pretentious?"
"Well, no, because the Chinese were drinking it for centuries before North America turned it into a trendy drink."
Well, that's that. Green tea isn't pretentious at all!
